If you are anything like me, a gallery wall makes your heart pitter patter.
A sophisticated & purposeful collection in a chic space, or a comfortable gathering of familiar moments… the layers of frames add feature and finish to any wall. I am particularly drawn to depth, frame upon frame.
To achieve this look, Pottery Barn offers frame risers to layer your art/photos. And while they certainly do not break the bank (at $16 each), it can get expensive when you need more than one.
The obvious solution? A nail, for free, and free sounds fine.
New idea? Heavens no, but an easy, inexpensive option to expand my gallery wall. And speaking of expanding… adding more frames is another way to add more $$$ dollar signs. I often head to Le Walmarte for their $3, $5, and $8 frames; ALWAYS found in a grouping on a separate rack near frame aisle. Pick up a few extra mats and you are still within budget!
Hit up your local antique shop, garage sale, or Goodwill; gather mismatched frames for an eclectic gathering that looks as though it were collected over time.
On a sidenote… Would anyone like to guess the number of nail holes
hidden behind those frames on my wall?
Hint- it more than doubles the number of frames.
