Show Us Where You Live Friday... Kellys Korner is wrapping up her home tour (just a few weeks left) and today it's all about the Master Sanctuary! Quite possibly, my favorite room in our house. It has been a slow project and the plans in my mind may require a few more years of patience, white baseboards, time, money....
Have children? Must have King. I cannot imagine life before the King arrived. Looked forever for a headboard and finally decided to create one myself... an old door, a little padding, and some luxe fabric. Ta Da. Easy peasy. I'm thinking wall lamps would better serve this space... but for now bedside lamps are quite functional. Bedside tables still need refinished... but it'll have to wait until I'm motivated.
The reading chair... where no one reads. I have plans to use this as my quiet space... someday. Oh window treatments... looked EVERYWHERE for these dummy rods... no luck. Had to rig it myself. Cut some full size curtain rods and stuck them into wooden valance tie backs.Yes, that is a ceiling fan. Aesthetically pleasing? No. Necessary? Yes. We just swapped out the old one and I must say... I quite like this one. Even better.. the hubby & I did it together! (we are not known in these parts for being handy)

My mother found this old door... I love it. Hubby hates it. For now, it is just leaning against the wall waiting for a home. I thought it would be a great place to hang jewelry, maybe add a few more old door handles as hangers. Any suggestions? Anyhow, walk-in on the left, bath on the right. (no... I am NOT showing my closet.a girl needs one room off limits!)A peek into The Master Bath.... ahem, Mini Master. Someday to be a suite, right along with my someday steam shower, heated flooring, and sanity. Uh-huh, I'm convincing myself it will happen. Until then, make the most of your space. This candle chandy was a fab $30 at a furniture warehouse sale, just picked it up this weekend!

Love the colors! I like how you hung your curtains higher than the window. I need to go back and do that to mine.

Move over, Martha Stewart! Love the room, the colors, the window treatments, the bathroom, and that door! I'm anxious to see what you end up doing with it!

I could just hug you til you scream! I haven't visited the company store in a while, but I found bedding just now (thanks to your rec) that I'm DROOLING over! And the idea about sheets--fabuloso! Thanks!
